WSN t34 to Heng Long Conversion - help!
 

Hi all,

I know this subject has been covered in detail elsewhere, but I'm looking for THE DEFINITIVE guide to doing this converison. Many sites have a link to wackywheelz conversion guide, but the link is dead...

Does anyone have a link to that... or another good source?

I'm a good modeler but a lousy electrician! Any help would be great!

I wish I could help with the links but I don't have anything for you.

Are you going straight HL or using a DBC or Ckark to get you to 2.4?

If there's anything I can do to help let me know. Mine was a bit of a learning experience, especially regarding the suspension.

Thanks guys,

I am just in the 'compiling the materials' stage... I have the Trumpeter t34/76 1942 for the turret and upper hull, and the WSN t34 85 for the lower hull, suspension, gearboxes, turret ring and recoil unit. My plan is to use HL internals, mostly to just have more control over the speed. The WSN system has only one speed... Fast!

I won't be battling this unit, so I'm not putting in any IR or anything. And I'm going to add a new speaker, but stick with the stock WSN sound if possible.

I'll post pics when the time comes!

I went the Tamiya conversion route. A little pricey but it worked extremely well and was easier than the other conversions. It was even able to use the stock recoil mechanism with the MF unit and worked well also.
