now it looks like every other forum. really too bad because in my opinion this was the best Tank forum out there and the layout was easy to read, post on and drop pics into.

ksoc 08-06-2013 08:11 PM

After a dozen attempts to login, not bad.

Logged in, went to my profile page, but when I tried to go to the forums, it would log me out....... repeat.

So far so good. I am no computer guy so the old was fine with me "appearance wise". I really didn't like how the server would crap out and the pix were very trouble-some to upload. I hope this version is much better. Thanks Ken and I hope it works out well for both of us....LOL. Bob

Well if this is the new look.....to be truthfull don't much care for it.Only drop in now and then for a quick look at present so what i think don't amount to much.Guess RCU had its reasons and i only looked at it from the user end of the deal. Guess the real proof will boil down to the old saying ( Time will tell ).Hard for me to follow the concept of changing something that was already the best and most popular.....and that applys to many, many, many things far beyond this forum.Hope it works out for all......

Ya, not sure what the technical reasons were for the change, but I am from a school where if it ain't broke, don't fix it. So with some frustration with the current situation( logging in issues) I sure hope it was "broke" and all of this was really necessary.

This logging in issue is a very large PIA.

liked the old forum nothing wrong with change but i to think if it aint broke.......

bigfiver69 08-07-2013 07:35 AM

I like it. I had no problems logging on, and it seems that load times are faster and the images are a bit clearer.

A rock solid update imho.

FreakyDude 08-07-2013 08:33 AM

I would suggest EVERYONE go to the profile section and double check their settings. I don't think personal preferences were high on the forums list when they migrated everything. I am surprised to see so many full names and birthdates out there.
Internet security is obviously not important to some.

Site looks good but text wrap not allowing for creating separate paragraphs ...unless there's something I missed or need to do as others appear to be able to. Stu N NORDPAC XO KAC6A-Out

I'm sure there are good administrative reasons for doing this but for this user, I liked being able to see pics without logging in. Searching seems more onerous too, especially with the Captcha-like thing that I can barely read. All the Google search links are toast. Very frustrating; even if you use the copied tread titles that Google has catalogued, the site search engine can't seem to find the threads. Just my 2 pesos... (At least logging in was easy: Bravo! Also, you can now use semicolons in posts.)

Hey, t doesn't let you sign out!

YHR 08-07-2013 04:29 PM

OK. Posting some pictures and a video, starting to get more comfortable with it. Will reserve judgement until later.

Panther G 08-07-2013 05:50 PM

Looks good. Different but good. Easier on my eyes too.

easyy 11 08-07-2013 06:15 PM

I liked the old one too nothing wrong with that but life changes so we need to adapt

Ten41 08-09-2013 10:48 AM

The subscribed forums is whacked for me. It used to be just Tanks, but now includes everything under Cars. And, I cannot modify it as the subscription page does not display correctly for me.

So, for me this is a step back.
