Time to build to a larger scale?

Perhaps now's the time I should consider building in 1/4 or 1/3 scale.

I'm on the verge of closing a killer deal on a vintage Leblond 19" swing lathe 60" between centers.....
and a Bridgeport mill...

19" ! just think of the road wheels you can turn with that puppy!

This like that old electric hand drill thread I posted here months ago.... only 100 times as big...

And I don't even know where I'm going to put them but I just can't pass this up. Dang it's awful to
have an addiction...

I love old American machines and machine tools! They just keep gong and going...

19" !!!!! Holy Craaaaap!

I think that 1/16 scale is the perfect medium for the RC tanks. The affordable price (I started out with HL tanks when the first came out), ability to fine detail & customize (from PE to home-made features) and more importantly for me portability (they travel well and I have even flown to Europe with them). I looked at 1/6 scale but just having one on the workbench took up almost the whole bench...LOL. Plus IR battling with them is very rare and the paintball tanks have very little detail. I have seen some very fine large scale tanks but very few were RC.

Now if you built a tank that you could sit inside and drive....Hmmmmm.... Bob, thecommandernj

I have seen some nice mini tanks on YouTube.
