Looking For a Source of Rivets
Hello
I am looking for a source of 1/16 rivets that can be glued on and not have a soft texture feeling, don`t want to pop them. If anyone knows of a source, in the U.S or Canada first, that would be great BUT anywhere is o.k also. Thanks for looking at my post and your help. George |
Hi George, If you scroll down the index you will see a very recent thread on nuts and bolts, within those comments are details on obtaining rivets, I am in the Uk so I source my needs closer to home. shaun

George,,
Depending on the size rivet needed, you may want to look at using dress makers pins (stick pins). Their cheap and easy to find at most Walmart type stores. Paul |
www.scalehardware.com has rivtets in stock. They also make things custom, if you call them.

Hi George, What Yellowshaker said, I would try Scale Hardware. Here is a link to their rivets. They ship fast and have good prices!

Thanks ALL for your tips.
One more thing, could someone tell me what a 1/16 or 1/15 rivet head works out to in mm? Too bad there is No such thing as just the head that can be stuck on the surface, might go nuts drilling ALL the rivets. George |
George, In the UK we still get pins holding new shirts together, If you get hold of as many of those pins as you need, just snip off the pin head and you have your rivet heads. I have been doing that for years and it looks good when in place. shaun
