Nice, aren't they. Not sure what will happen on a battle field. People will cry foul. Fast and they are so smooth you will likely be scooting around even after many hits.

The only negative I have to say about my particular set was that one of the motors was a bit tight against the first reduction gear and it was really difficult to rotate, both by hand and under it's own power. A little time spent drilling the screw holes one size bigger and carefully re installing the motor solved that.
I like to encourage the idea of self-policing a lot of the potential advantages that very specific tank builds can have... IR sensors, emitters, motors and gearboxes, programming, etc, so for now I'll stick with programming my radio to keep it 'realistic'.. the Pershing was a Medium remember ;) Still it'll be fun to switch back a forth from fast to slow on the fly to show the difference ;) |
Those motors look like 480s. Very nice indeed.
How about a video? :) |
Here you go :P
The tank weighs 9 pounds, and about 5 minutes after this run the battery was running down. This is at 100% forward and 50% reverse limited by my radio. This tank roars over hardwood flooring, a result of the hard plastic "rubber" roadwheels and the semi hollow Heng Long tracks. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psaxcekqqd.mp4 |
