That looks very good. Do you have any shots of the rack you used, and where did you come up with that?

ausf 02-02-2015 04:47 AM

Nice design.

edoubleaz 02-02-2015 06:32 AM

Classy that you made it look like the real breach. Great Work Sir!

RichJohnson 02-02-2015 07:26 AM

That is really cool. Can you post a bunch of photos of the set up? Did you fab up the rear breach yourself with the sliding skid and stuff?
What brand of turret is that?

TheBennyB 02-02-2015 07:44 AM

Yea, very cool. Does that setup hinder elevation/depression at all?

That's a really good point. Of things I've built, the T-34 76 turret or a StuG probably wouldn't have the room underneath for the servo body to drop. Possibly even the cross brace in the Tammy M4 would block it as well.

But I still love the design. ;)

elevation/depression gear is larger, not easy to hide, I think some black paint can do the job well.

DaveBcool 02-02-2015 06:04 PM

Hinder means to prevent or stop.
I think BennyB is asking if the main gun goes all the way up and all the way down with the recoil installed.
Does the breech hit the top of the turret when the gun goes down?

I see! breech does not hit top of turret when the gun goes down. main gun can goes all the way up and all the way down with the recoil installed.

It is an amazing start of the year for this hobby.

So many improvements, modifications, new tooling, improved version of an already improved version of mother units/boards, improved gearboxes, upgraded metal version of already metal ones, new releases of tanks, etc.

These are all good - as we benefit immensely from these progress. The hobby is getting competitive price-wise and one has more options to start with.

I am glad to be in this forum and get informed in the various improvements going on around. Most importantly, to witness firsthand the inception of great new ideas and/or the various attempts at perfection on one's craft.

I am very appreciative at the opportunity being presented to me as a newbie to this hobby. The information and experience I learn from the expert residents of this forum is truly a blessing.

YHR 02-04-2015 05:54 AM

Great work. Once installed I imagine this is rock solid with little to go wrong. I really like this idea.

Thanks for continuing to support 1/16 tanks.

CHIEFSONN 02-04-2015 06:06 AM

Looking forward to seeing how this is installed. Could be an awesome option for the upcoming M-36, M-10.
