Control board options ?

Just curious to know what other options there is other than Clark boards. Please list some pros and cons if you can. Thanks!

Im still new to Tanks, only 9 months. I run 3 Tk22s, a BARC4/TBS, and soon to arrive a Tamiya Pershing. I run all IR. My opinion is the Clark is priced right for what you get. The sound is great compaired to stock Taigen or HL. Not plug and play for Taigen IR, some soldiering and programming with Sony remote. I run them with servo recoil and elevation. Also they are about the same size as a RX18. Im really starting to like the BARC4 TBS setup, the more I experiment the better I like it. The sound is much better than Clark and can be changed from one tank to another. It does take up more room though. I also run servo elevation and servo recoil with the BARC4. I also run all Tamiya Battle Units. The BARC4/TBS combo plugs in fairly easy, better than Clark TK. The RX18 is suppose to be reliable and if it fails I think they can be replaced for $25. If my Clarks fail, I think I replace with BARC4/TBS. I run HKT6A, DX6i, and DX5e radios. Dan (YHR) is very helpful with the BARC/TBS system. I keep watching all the new boards coming out, alot seem to need special radios for setup properly or very complex. I keep looking for the best bang for the buck, I need 4 tanks up and running at the same time so a reasonable Board is important to me, along with good customer service. This is again just my 9 month experience with what I have.

Excellent post, Thank you ! And where can I read about this BARC system and purchase if I like it?

Im sure Dan will chime in at some point. So this BARC system still requires the RX18 to operate?

Im sure YHR will also comment on this post, or search his post about it. You will find more info about it on threads here.

Here is a great video of the combo done by Dan (YHR)
