Motor screw size?

Does anyone know the screw size and thread count of the screws that are used to mount the motors to the Taigen transmissions?

If these are the Speed 400 or 380 motors then the screws are M2.6mm pozi head - used to use these in Electric Flight before the brushless revolution.

The motors are stock so I'm assuming they are 380's. I need some screws for tiger 1 idler wheels and they are the right size but they could be a touch longer.

Anything labeled as M2.5 will work for any 'regular' can motor I've installed in a tank.

The coarse thread screws that go into the back of the idlers to hold the two halves together? I might have a few, along with some motor screws. Those I could stick in an envelope and mail to cheeseland for ya. :)

And yes, you're right, the stock motors are 380s.

Yep M2.5 screws will work - you just don't get so much 'bite' with them as if using the M2.6 but this is a non-standard thread size - why they used this is beyond me but hey ho. Also, a bit of Loctite 243 threadlocker on the M2.5 size screw may be helpful for belt and braces fixing!!!!

cheers

Thanks for the offer but I'll check some local stores first.

Try these guys. If they don't have it they can order it. I use Fastenal a lot for work, and they're well known in the machining industry.

They also have a lot of good tools, like small taps and drill bits.
