In those transmitters with a transmitter module the module is licensed by the FCC. It they don't have a module the entire transmitter is licensed.

All my Turnigy 9x's have the FCC logo on the transmitter modules.

With 2.4 I just use my DX-18 and have the throttle where it is on planes and the aileron stick for left and right
