New tool?
|
Looks interesting,
|
Looks very interesting indeed, but if you scroll down it says that the recommended price is going to be $390. I'd sure like to have one, but at that price I would have to classify it as a luxury item.

Nice one Rex. I have trouble just holding a saw or knife - arthritis - so this looks to be ideal. Somewhat like a multi tool but less cumbersome.
I'll keep an eye on it. Mal |
Mal --- I could also trim my toe nails more safely with this than using my Dremel tool with a drum sander attachment.

Hi Rex
Very true, but they suggest you should wear gloves when you use the tool, finding foot shaped gloves could be a good trick? Mal |

Doesn't look to be a company per se for this tool. Here's the basic link. Seems that if there's a problem with the tool you be out of luck, in my opinion.

Bob, those links aren't working for me.
|
Odd. I just tried both and they work. Try a search of 'kickstart' from your server.
|
The link took me somewhere, but it was something about edible straws, not the new tool. I guess I'll have to search around the straw site.
|
The photo wouldn't post, I'll try again.

Still couldn't post the photo, but I found that you can do a kind of pre order as low as $250 (I think). It also says not recommended for plastic over 3mm thick, but I don't see a problem with that for what we do. The more I look, the more I like. Hope it makes it.

If you scroll way down on the link Rex posted there's a lot of info, and that's where it looks like you can pre-order. I don't have the extra money right now anyway, but I'll be watching this one. That thing would make scratchin' an ambulance onto a HL truck a whole lot easier. ;)
