Wow very nice. where did you buy a trailer? |
Company in Germany that also sells the laser cut cab :) |
Looks great!! |
I think its Ludwigs. Correct me if I'm wrong. That looks awesome! Does it use a Tamiya truck chassis? Forgive the dumb questions!
That's a beauty! Bob |
Modellspeigell. A friend of Ludwigs. Tamiya Truck chassis and running gear etc. |
Looks great to me too!
|
Thank you! Lots more to do! |
Thats so great. I really want to build a dragin wagon eventually. I have my m32 half finished but really its not going to do anything special other run a winch. I really wish somebody would make a full kit for a drag wagon. I converted a 1/18 toy somebody gave me into a nicely moderatly detailed cab unit |
Thank you Rich. Yours have me a lot of inspiration - I have a long way to go to make it as good as yours. Adam |
Well, thank you. I ocnsidder myself an ok modeler, just try to get the details right up to my skill level. Others here are even better than I am callable of doing. My main stoppoing block is i dont have good dimensions, or knowledge of the tamiya rc truck axles amd spring sets most use for these builds. If i could get past that i could do the rest. |
Outstanding Adam.
Are the accessories behind the cab on the tractor 3d printed? |

Small update, some stunning 3D parts on the way from Alwyn. New wheels and tyres sorted for the trailer. Got some plastic work on the trailer to do but the end is in sight. Attachment 2261755 Attachment 2261756 |
Great looking man. so did you build the chassis from tamiya semi Parts? i would really like to build one of these things but do not know anything about the tamiya semi trucks to even know where to start. I also have mpnot found plans that hVe dimensions on them for various measurements needed like wheelbase. Overall length, frame, heights etc etc. |
Hi Rich, It is based on a Tamiya Scania chassis but you can use a Globeliner and cut it down/move the wheels back. I chose the former as cutting and moving all the frame and suspension didn’t appeal to me. I believe it’s 10mm too long this way but don’t tell anyone :) The cab is from Germany and its laser cut like Ludwigs stuff. I scratch built most parts with some tricky bits being 3d printed. Trailer is from same guy in Germany, aluminium and very strong. |

I would love to get my hands on one of these or build one for the added fun of toting around my Sherman. :D Looks great so far!
|
The chrome wheels are a nice elitist military touch, well done. John  |
Lol :D it still needs paint, but the chrome rollers is a nod to its American roots ;D |
