I don't believe he does. I know he sells some stuff through RC Tank Legion. He shows up here at RCU also, but not often. I think the best way to get a hold of him is through Facebook if you want something in particular.

Hi king tubby
Yep, a very nice job. Just 2 things I'd enhance if I was doing StillBrew - the demarcation line between the original turret & the StillBrew package - https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...3d2e09acb6.png Faint line visible between the original turret & new armour - Centre https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...52b6e11985.png Faint line visible between the original turret & new armour - Right https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...c85f7db13e.png Faint line visible between the original turret & new armour - Left And the Casting marks on the lower front edge - from left to right - A, B, D & E with random serial numbers - B hidden behind the LHS MBSGD - though those can still be added. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...8a72b33dea.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...b80a7638fb.png https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...c1b1f48926.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...27c01d8ef9.png Mal |
Hi All
A little bit of news from Andrew at HAYA. The new Cent roadwheels with rubber tyres can be used to upgrade the Chieftain plastic ones, and the plastic Chieftain Horstmann plastic swingarms can be replaced by the Cent metal swingarms. The bogie end of the metal swingarm needs to be sleved to accept the smaller Chieftain retaining screw. And the Chieftain Hub caps tabs need to be thinned to fit the Cent roadwheels. The parts should be available when the Centurion shipment container arrives - ETA - end of March currently Mal |
Funny thing about this replacement of Chief wheels with Cent wheels - it happened for real on the prototype Chieftain. Originally the Chieftain was to have a very low profile, partially achieved by use of 28 inch roadwheels, however when they were conducting troop trials in Germany on the Soltau ranges, the Chieftains were bogging down in Centurion runnels. Centurion roadwheels were 31 inch (or 31.5 inch - different figures in different references) - so the runnels were deeper than Chieftain could reach. The fix was to replace the 28 inch wheels with 31 (or 31.5) inch wheels and Cent suspension springs.
So by doing this, you achieve more authenticity, a better look & feel (Rubber tyres) and added durability (metal axles) Mal https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...b02969be21.jpg Chief hull with 2 Cent rubber tyred Roadwheels fitted - sans hubs - Andrew from HAYA pic |
Chieftain road wheel upgrade set (new Centurion set)
Mal If you're now wondering what to do with the old roadwheels.... you do know the Stridsvagn S103 (S Tank) used Centurion road wheels..... https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...694d2ab197.png |
