PDSGB gearboxes. Worth it?

PDSGB gearboxes. Has anyone tried them? If so what is your opinion. I’m thinking about buying one.

Absolutely worth it

I'm in the process of getting a pair myself.

I looked at these things once. Do I remember the description correctly that there is one drive motor? There's a second
motor for steering? I'm assuming the unit applies power to the output axles using a differential and the second motor
effects steering by applying differential torque to the first, a controlled differential? Similar to Tamiya's Leo 2 jobbie?

I like mine, I used one of the "slow" type in my Char 2C scratch build and it seems to work fantastic. One really neat advantage of this gearbox is that you can take it in & out of the model without undoing any of the tread drive sprockets and the track tension stays put. This came in really handy when I was messing with the tread tension and suspension on the model. I also used an IBU2 board and this requires setting up the board in the correct mode for the single drive motor and the separate steering motor vs the traditional left/right motor set up.
I would definitely go with another PDSGB gearbox in the future!
