Clark TK40s programming
Alright guys, this is my first post here and I’m relatively new to RC tanks. I have a Taigen Tiger 1 mid with air soft and recoil. I got a Clark Tk40s and the Frsky Qx7s transmitter. So far I seem to have the transmitter under control.
My issue is in setting the upper hull functions for air soft. All the other functions work, driving, sound, traverse, the corrected barrel elevation as per the Clark instructions. But when I try to fire the gun I get a “click” sound out of the speaker. When I follow the programming instructions, the board does not seem to update the upper hull setting. The default setting on the board is one flash, and two flashes for air soft mode. Every time I go back into the programming mode it get two flashes after the first press of the power button on the remote leading me to believe that the board is remaining in the default upper hull setting. I’ve followed the instructions verbatim, I didn’t want to deviate out of fear of damaging the board. I’m obviously missing something here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The jumper location is what’s shown on Clark’s site and the remote and IR programming adapter were purchased with the board. Thanks for your help -Ryan |
Well I figured it out, the issue was not with the Clark board, but with the instructions. The instructions show cannon and MG1 on channel 9 and gbs on/off and MG2 on channel 10. They are actually reversed. Since I don’t have the gbs module or a 2nd Mg I did not put put channel 10 into my transmitter. When I originally tried to fire the gun I was hearing the gbs on/off sound and MG2. According to Clark the programming mode starts at the default settings when you program. Hopefully this can be helpful to someone else. -Ryan
