Mato full metal Tiger 1 Tank-Clark TK22 or TK40?
Hello,
I am new to the forum. I have a Mato full metal 1/16th Tiger 1 tank with a Clark TK 22 control board. I would like to install a proportional smoker but my understanding is I would haves swap the TK 22 board for a TK 40 that offers full proportional smoke function. My question: Does the TK 40 board have the same connector locations and functions as the TK 22 board, or must I re wire and/or reprogram the TK 40? Thanks for your help in advance. Fred |

TK2X series boards and the TK-40 boards are basically the same layout as far as connections and locations of said connections.
The TK-40 only has 2 mounting screw holes now (one is been replaced with more PCB and electronic components). |
I'd go with a tk60 or 80 if you can. The smaller board shave had overheating issues with heavier tanks. The price difference is pretty small

The TK60 has a very annoying buzzing when the electric motors start turning. I couldn’t ignore it. Listen to them on YouTube. Some people don’t care. The TK80 does not do that but mine has had some solder joints break but would still be overkill for a Tiger. I suggest a TK40 sbus. Very reliable.

Thanks for the input! I think I will go with the TK 40 sbus.

Have you thought about the IBU? In my opinion it's a better board than the Clark and easier to install.
