Taigen MFU version identification

Hey Imex-Erik,
I am wondering about visual differences between Taigen MFU's?

Example, I have several MFU's due to collecting many, many, tanks over the past few years and I have "upgraded" most to aftermarket boards for our local club IR battles (Tamiya).

I have MFU's without openings on the back case. With an opening on the back case and with an opening with a chip visible (sized for the opening). Versions with a large red antenna cable?, but no 6 channel receiver connections, Fan wires inside vs outside, etc...
Do you have a way of quickly identifying the differences between them? Are they just iterations? Aka V1.0, V1.1?
I can provide images if necessary...

V1 - without separate sound card
V2 - with separate sound card
V3 - with sound card and track recoil switch

That's not exactly what he means, and no, TG doesn't have any way to tell the difference. Used to drive Kevin nuts when he'd work on stuff like the atrc. Every different MFU he got had a slightly different code and there was no way to tell which was which. That's the main reason he gave up on working with Taigen/Torro stuff.

Sorry, I am not online as much as I used to be. If you guys need an answer quick it is best to hit us up on the website, we got a crew to help out now. I'm doing a bunch of stuff here at IMEX, started some big projects at home, and I also do consulting outside of IMEX too. I worked no less than 60 hours a week for almost 10 months this year straight and need some time off from the web for a bit :) I'll still be here and there, just not as reliable every day a few times a day checking up kinda thing. I've trained a few people here to help with that and I am still actively involved in everything here.

Pretty much this.

This is also correct. Most of the V1 boards should all be the same for the users. There was a small issue where some V1/V2/V3 boards did not play nicely with IR, but we did design a new IR receiver for that and has been the only one we sold for at least a few years now. The tanks all use the newer boards too if you get a new one from us or a new tank. There have been 3 IR receiver boards I have seen TG produce: a green PCB and two red PCBs. The first two are just passthroughs while the latest one (marked May 27, 2017) is the newest one. This is the fix for the V1/V2/V3 IR compatibility issues and has now since been fixed. Picture attached for reference.

Sorry on the delay guys, Xmas is quite busy around this time a year for the toy company. I'll be back to my normal schedule in a few weeks/months. Just need some time to relax or I'll get burnt out.
