1/16 Ford GPA
Keep a lookout for this 1/16 RC Ford GPA to arrive soon on the market to follow the Schwimmwagon. Not sure if Torro or another brand will offer outside of China.
And as with their Schwimmwagon, I couldn't think of a more prefect candidate for 1/6. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...8e4fa353cd.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...88305b489a.jpg |
Great news! This is the same company which made LCM3 sold by Torro.
|
As well their Swimmwagon & tank line.
|
Pretty neat offering... the SEEP!
Never would have thought of this EVER, being made. |
This is very good news, Does this mean that someone is designing a 1/16 DUKW ? It would certainly open my pocketbook.
|
That would be cool :) (random photo from Google)

Wow, nice, want the Schwimwagon for sure!!!
|
Oh I got to have that.
ive driven a real one at a Barrett Jackson auction once. It had Russian data plates but was a real Ford. |
I wonder if it floats?
|
Herrmill, is it 1/16 or 1/6, assume 1/16? Either way I like it too.
Looks kinda like 1/6 ROC hobby jeep with amphibious body. That would be a hoot! A motorized RC DUKW in 1/16 would be fun, as would Schwimmywagon. B |

If they do it in 1/6 I'm in.
|
Looks good:

Where would a person in the USA purchase one of these?
|
If this goes the same way as the schwimmwagen you'll have to order it from Europe, and add $75 in shipping.
|
It's cool looking, but does it actually work and for how long? Already been disappointed by Torro on several occasions so I won't be an early adopter on this one.
|
I still haven't picked up the schwimmwagen, mainly because so many guys don't seem to like it. It hasn't gotten very good reviews. I'll probably do the same thing with this model, and wait until some of my friends get them and see how they like them before I spend money on it. Torro has a pretty good reputation for tanks, but the rest of their stuff really hasn't been all that great, from what I can see.
|
Yeah, that's a nice one and a must have. Someone ring the bell when it's ready!

I'll see one up close next weekend when my son's classmate brings his to play with us. I know another who already got one & he's quite satisfied with it. |

I have a hull on my shelf aswell ready for me to add bits to it, when i ever get a chance. 1/16 aswell, designed to be amphibious and offroad. Seem to be missing the important thing at moment which is time! doh! This GPA looks good, i was asked to do that aswell somepoint, but looks like i needn't bother now. Its cool to see these models come to the market |
I found the Ford GPA in stock today and ordered one. Should be here in a week. It will look good in my LCM3 along with a Sherman tank.
Should be fun. https://www.zandatoys.com/1-16-torro...-2-4ghz-green/ Steve |
I have test it on the Faszination Modellbau in Friedrichshafen Germany.
With some small Details a nice Modell Olaf |
Hmm... I bet I could replace the amphib body with a standard jeep.
|
I bet against it.
The effort is far too high, there is nothing left over from the GPA. The centre differential is integrated in the chassis: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...11f38f95e7.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...6808f8a61.jpeg |
