1/35 Dragon IDF M60 DOZER Tank >DSM2 RRC

Greetings everyone. My name is modler and I want to post here and already had a post ready with video and pictures but when I went to post it I got a message that t can not post any url's until after 10 posts. That seems a bit weird to me but OK.

I post at other sites like rcgroups.com, rctankwarfare.co.uk/ and I think years ago I had aircraft posts under the moniker of modfly. Any way I am looking forward to posting at this site as it looks like it is very active. I mostly do 1/35 models. I have a few 1/24, 1/18 and owned a Tamiya 1/16 Leopard back in 1979 but it got away sometime in the 90's. I have so many models and like variety of models and only have so much room to store them. I have about 100 tanks models that mostly run or did run or have been blown up by M80 battles back in the day. I have managed to keep and restore a few of these older models back from the dead from as far back as 1978. Ok, I will try to make 9 more posts asap.

regards
modfler

Well, we are on the way. I am currently re-building a 1/35 M4 Halftrack that is about 37 years old If I remember correctly.

I am also building a 1/35 Italeri Crusader Mk. III with a all metal Tamiya twin motor gearbox.

I also will feature a 1/18 Hanomag Halftrack that I built 30 years ago. It is due for a radio upgrade that I will post at this forum.

I am also working on a 1/35 Panzer IV that was a Static model and now converted to radio remote control. I will post the build in this forum

Have you thought about doing 1/16 rc? If you like IDF a lot, I’ve done a few various super Sherman’s, and now Tamiya has the Centurian out perfect for IDF.

Hello, and welcome aboard. The 10 post rule before posting photos is to help prevent spam. Without that rule we would get a lot more spammers joining and posting their sales pitch and photos in their very first post. Most spammers won't take the time to make 10 post so they can put up their garbage, so it actually helps to protect us all.

Hope that helps.

Oh absolutely Crius. Thank you for that info.

Yes RJ, I have. However, I am in too deep with my current collection. I am pretty sure my wife would not understand buying LARGE Tanks and trying to find somewhere to store thew in our luxury condo. I am lucky to have 100 models now in the condo and I am not going to push my luck but thanks for the suggestion.

Oh boy, 3 more posts and I can post some pictures!

On Topic, The M60 of this thread is actually a Academy M60 and the Dozer blade is from a Dragon M60 Kit. The Academy M60 came as a dual motor motorized remote control Tank with "Wired "2 channel controller so it did not take much time to get it going RRC. The Dragon M60 is a very nice static model and I may build it up into a RRC Tank at the appropriate time. So in summation, It took two models to build this M60 Dozer Tank.

Well, this is the 10th post and after posting 5 more times today, I may have to wait another 24 hours before posting again, So if you do not hear from me after this post, I will try again in 24 hours.

Finally

Ok here we go. I built this Tank last year from two different kits, The Academy M60 came as a dual motor wired remote control Tank so it did not take long to get up and running.

The Dragon M60 is a very detailed static model with a manually articulating Dozer blade that you can pose either up or down and so forth. I am not into static models not even a little lol so I mounted the Blade and its parts on the Academy M60.

Here is a short video

It took both of these kits to build this Dozer Tank

This was an expensive venture but worth it.

That is pretty cool. You have got to show us how you did that micro engineering work. Des the turret operate too?

Not yet but I will as there is a 6 channel radio in there. This was build a while back and I posted it at another site and there was little interest so moved on to something else. I don't see another anywhere but then it is 1/35 and not many people in the states working on "animating" 1/35 military models. In the meantime....
