Sherman sprockets - difference between makers

I have a set of nice metal sherman tracks. Taigen maybe?
I bought a set of metal sprockets - dont know what maker.
And the sprockets dont engage....the teeth dont mesh with the track. Literally.

Is there a difference between HL, Mato and Taigen sprockets for shermans?

I dont care about axle lengths etc.....but surely a sprocket for a 1/6 tank track should engage irrespective of manufacturer?

do you have pictures, and not all sprokets will mesh with all tracks.

Manufacturers can be all over the place with this. Sometimes their sprockets will fit another company's tracks and sometimes they won't. Is that a typo above or are these really 1/6 tracks? If you could post a photo maybe someone will be able to identify the tracks and then you'll know what brand sprocket you need.

There were multiple sprocket types used on the Sherman and not all of them are compatible with the different track types. And for the smaller 1/16th scale stuff, the compatibility is not guaranteed. HL and Taigen KV tracks aren't interchangeable. Attracks T-72 sprockets won't work with the HL track. Sometimes manufacturers simplify or change specs for strength or cost savings.

Sorry.... 1/16.

Thats annoying.... I thought they were all compatible.
I,ll try and get some pictures. I doubt anyone will recognise them though....the chevrons were ground off, there are big holes bored in the middle of each link and they are down to bare metal for the most part.

I will have to modify the sprockets anyway so I may try getting them to work before I start buying new obes.

Needless to say, they wont be going on a sherman.....

Basically, henglong is only henglong, tagien is only taigen and mato is only mato.
None of their sprockets will run a different brand of track. The timing is either off or the track width is not the same
