RE: abrams and stuart
I have the M5 Stuart, and the Abrams... I would have to say that neither are great for OFFRoading with... If a rock or something gets in the way of the track and road wheel or idler wheel you could break a track or worse... I think one of the HenLongs would actually do better and b/c of size do better...I also think the Tamiya would be even better .I love the Pershing and Sherman ....they seem to do very well... hard to break a track or throw one for that matter.... I have the King Tiger and it may break a link b/c of over stressing it but not often and it is an easy fix... just my Opinion....THe 1/6 Humvee is also a good choice..However if it gets loaded up ...ie stuck in rough stuff the motors have an overload cut off circuit to prevent the motors from becoming damaged....Just depends on budget, what you really want to do and did I mention budget????:D[8D]

RE: abrams and stuart
i cant afford tamiyas. the most i'm spending is 150. i've been thinking if i should get the hen long tiger with the stick controller. i'm going to be driving in grass and dirt no matter what so i guess the abrams and stuart are out of the question.

Yeah,,,,I believe you are less likely to mess up a gear with the Hen long than the Stuart or Abrams..I think that they are also about 1/3 the price at times ...depends on where you get them....Good lUck...

RE: abrams and stuart
I have two Hen Long tanks (Tiger 1 with no smoke or sound and a Pershing with smoke and sound) as well as the 1:6 Stuart.
The Tiger 1 is the best of the three. It runs well and I have had a lot of fun playing with it. [sm=thumbup.gif] The Pershing has been nothing but a headache since day 1. It sputters, travels beyond input from the transmitter, and freezes after a minute or two. [sm=thumbdown.gif] The Stuart, I bought against my better judgment. I thought that it was pretty decent at first, but after only a couple of days of play, it is failing. The sound comes on and shuts off at random and now the turret has stopped functioning all together. [&o] I seem to have the worst luck with RC tanks. [:@] If I were you, I would get a simple Hen Long without smoke and sound, and save up for a Tamiya one day down the road. They are awesome. :D Good Luck! Jason |
