RE: tiger initial production
Very nice Tomzag, I like this one a lot.
Whay do you mean by working snorkel? |
RE: tiger initial production
the snorkel is the tube on the rear of the tank. only initial tiger1 is capable of driving under water. then snorkel cover was left on the later production tiger1 but does not work.

Amazing, as always.
Tom, how do you get the look of metal wear? Do you brush it on, dab with cloth or some other? I've used a dremel tool with steel brush over paint. I've also used black body primer over areas that I've brushed, using a cloth to wipe off excess paint. It leaves a worn, dirty look. I haven't shot my KT yet with the black powder pistol to get a blast effect look -- my wife thinks I'm nuts, and she's probably right... Cheers... |
RE: tiger initial production
thanks for compliment. shing effect was done by dry brushing.

I really like the pachyderm. [8D]
German WWII nose art (whether it be on airplanes, submarines or tanks) was often very whimsical and often belied the lethal nature of the vehicle it graced. Is the elephant a decal or did you create it yourself? -Harq |
RE: tiger initial production
it is a dry transfer.

What a BEAUTY. Now I know my next tank is going to be a Tiger 1.
I bought a book "Images of Kursk, greatest tank battle"...Lots of pics of Russian and German armor, Tigers were a mainstay but too costly... I'll use your page as a reference for painting! AWESOME. Out Here. Dennis |
