Alternative 1/16th Transmissions
I still can't believe noone makes aftermarkket trannies for Tamiya 1/16 tanks. I want to put 540s in my Tigers so I get the same power as my Leo. I dare not think about the cost of buying a Leo gearbox in pieces[:o] Is there a company that makes such a thing. And, no. I will not be happy with 400 motors. Give me 540s or give me death. It's what the colonialists would have said.

http://home.comcast.net/~devastator2k/Gifs/ROTFLMAO.gifI take it that means such an option does not exist.

RE: Alternative 1/16th Transmissions
Your only option is to upgrade gearbox and motors separately, Markus Horn out of Germany produces a very exspensive rock-solid ball-bearing raced gearbox for the Tamiya tanks for around 300USD.
As for using 540's, the Leo power plant is the only feasible option as a drop-in (use that term loosely) for a serious upgrade to the WWII tanks whether Tamiya or Hen Long! |

Tanks a lot!
Has anybody got them? How are they? They have 1/145 gear ratio. So, I presume, no gear reductions will be needed. Right? Also, they are cheaper than gearbox upgrade from Wecohe!!! And they go with 400 motors!
