HL tiger question
Are all the HL Tiger with Smoke and Sound 10 speed or 2 Speed? My online search has been fruitless, with some online shop descriptions showing 2 speed for Smoke and Sound versions except Raiden Tech and Mato Toys.

RE: HL tiger question
The one from Raidentech is certainly the 10 speed version you have heard referred to. I started a thread on this very subject some time ago. It is generally believed that all S&S are also with the variable 10 speed motor control similar to a esc. If you buy from Raidentech, put the coupon code in to save 10% - I think its panther . I saw recently they were sold out of the Tiger so better to call them first and confirm this.

RE: HL tiger question
buy the sm. & sound model,
--the sm.& sound have: variable speed or so called 10 speeds turret turn better and faster, shoots stronger, plastics gear does`nt strip so easily. the bad side of this model is that the circuit board transistors tends to burn when jamming the tracks while keeping full throttle. will have to change crystals for playing with another tank. i added a fan ,new circuit board(16$can.)and a new heatsink = no more heat problems on rough terrains. i still run on plastics gears (lucky so far). --the programmable model is the 2 speeds: can be programed to be a moving target. a little too fast, gears strips . 3 channels (for multi-player) circuit board does`nt seems to burn. it is a different mixer circuit board inside(i have both models). one rc member have notice that the tiger and panther models seems to be the strongest for climbing compared to pershing because off the size of the driving sprocket . |
