LOL, I'm sorry I was not clear. I was referring to the 1/16 R/C Tamiya kits.. Wasn't there one produced in the 80's with a single motor? Thanks.

56007-King Tiger-Porsche turret- DMD only. Not full option. Discontinued of course. I got my grubby hands on one:D

56018-King Tiger-Henschel-FO in current production.

There is also the old discontinued King Tiger Henschel turret that had the old clutch drive with a single 540 jmotor.

So, the 56018 is still in production. Is it worth getting the single motor one? Do you think the price of the Leo 2 A6 will eventually come down?

Yes, the 56018 is in current production and readily available.

Pigs will fly before the Leo drops in price. I got mine cheap off ebay.

Amuro:

The single-motor KT is the 56004, and originally came with a 53400 traverse unit (still available) and a muzzle flash unit. There was to provision for main gun elevation, but it could be rigged if you were inventive. If you just want to hack around, the old model is fine, but to battle, you'll want to get the 56018.

And if you do decide on the 004, you may wish to swap the motor out for an Integy #5501 55t lathe motor. Its been reported to turn the overly-fast stock speed to right on target.

And its ~possible~ that the Leo's price may drop a ~bit~ when Tamiya's next tank hits the market in a few months (as rumored) Then again, it is a much fancier tank than previous DMD-MF units, so I'd not count on it.
