turret rotation problem

hello again. My bulldog has developed it's first problem. The turret continues to move for a short time after I center the joystick on the control. I took the radio apart to see if the gimbal might be binding, but everything seems to be moving freely and centering itself. Not a major issue, just an annoyance. Is there anything else I can check for? Thanks in advance. Regards, John

Try fresh batteries in the Transmitter, and see if the problem clears up.

Hi YHR, The batteries in the transmitter are fine. Since I use it indoors mostly, I tried running outside to rule out radio interferance from appliances etc. What I did notice is the problem gets worse with greater distance, yet I have perfect control over track functions.Doesn't make much sense to me. Maybe it's time to swap out the HL electronics for the good stuff. Thanks . Regards, John

do you mean the turret keeps turning or do you mean it is turning and when you stop it kinda rolls to a stop?

RE: turret rotation problem

Hi. No, the turret is still powered for a moment and then rolls to a stop. I've been tinkering with it for a while and I still can't figure what the problem is. But again, It does work, just not as well as it used to. Because of the radio set-up it's hard to pinpoint and isolate a problem. The more I think about it, the true hobby class electronics seem like the best way to go. Thanks to the more experienced fellows on this forum, I have lots of information to refer to. Thanks again. Regards, John

sounds like batteries in the receiver. or you messed with the other buttons if your on a non s&s tank.

Well,I solved the problem. Easy fix too. The large multi pin plug inside just needed a shot of contact cleaner and all is well. Maybe dirt or grease caused a bad contact? Any how, works properly again. Thanks guys! Regards, John

RE: turret rotation problem

Hi guys

sorry to bring back up a old topic but over the last month or so I have disassembled and reassembled 12 Heng Long tanks for painting a base coat on them. Well the reason I brought back this old topic is I noticed that If I keep the turret ring screws on the loose side that the turret seems to swing a lot more freely and smoothly, not to mention its quieter and Im sure inst putting as much strain on the turret motor anymore

Just thought I would pass this little tip on because It seems to work for me
