FO Pershing or Tiger I?
Hi all, I require some input. Between Tamiya's Pershing and Tiger I, which would you choose to keep a Sherman company? Please rate them on the following factors
1) Ease of build 2) Off road ability 3) Ease of maintenance 4) Special features (if any) I am leaning towards the Tiger because of its history but those overlapping wheels worry me. Do they collect a lot of muck if I drive it through thick grass? My Sherman is great for bashing through grass. It traps a twig or leaf every now and then but the entire wheel/track assembly is very easy to clean. |
RE: FO Pershing or Tiger I?
M26 tiger ones and king tigers ...I hate the tracks and all the road wheels always cause problems!

RE: FO Pershing or Tiger I?
1) Ease of build - Tiger wins although Pershing is a better build
2) Off road ability - Tiger wins but no Pershing problems 3) Ease of maintenance - Tiger hands down 4) Special features (if any) - Pershing has lights controlled by radio Unless driving in snow, I would not worry about interleaved wheels too much! |
RE: FO Pershing or Tiger I?
I agree with Eric, the Tiger I is an easier build and easier to get the batteries in and out of than the Pershing. I have both (although I have the Strumtiger) but haven't had a single problem with either.
Both are solid, quality kits and are the next step as far as difficulty in building from the Sherman. Jeff |

I agree, Tiger I.
