PZIII quick mods
I got started on one of the pzIII's last nite and ended up going at it till very late. I have a small list of things I like to do with my HL's before calling them done. I did get it dissassembled and the following things done:
track pins CA'd painted panzer grey recharge port added to rear exhaust area bottom sealed power switch moved to side of tank extra wire nipped from power switch Left to do is the weathering, number/markings, extra detail - it should be done this evening. Panzer Grey http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/3226/pz3zyg3.jpg New power switch location http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/8473/pz3ytc6.jpg New charging location http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/9494/pz3xrn6.jpg |
RE: PZIII quick mods
Man i would have rather had the power switch in the stock location... being right by the track you may actually have the tank get shut off from debrees or somthing on the tracks that come in contact with the switch ..also more dirt will get in the switch right next to the tracks.... that's my opinion....
Other than that the rest of the tank looks very good:D |
RE: PZIII quick mods
Originally I was routing it to the cupola but then decided I didnt want more wires connecting the hull halves, so this decision was made about 3:30am last nite :)
When I assembled it I had the same thought but decided to leave it and see what happens, the other pzIII will be located differently. I will be hand painting the numbers and markings - should be fun heheh. |

RE: PZIII quick mods
I would move all switches out of plain view. Most people complained about having the frequency/smoke switch on the side of the tank because it sticks out like a sore thumb.
