Panzers on the move....somewhere on some battlefield a Tiger platoon (2 tigers, 2 Pz IIIs) and Pz IV platoon with an added Panther with suppport units attack a small unit of American tanks. Armed Forces Day Ft Jackson SC. Weather was fantasic for an RC tank battle. Will send photos in segments.

battle over the tanks won...how do you control 23 tanks at once, when over half are moving? Only problem was running on stiff grass and most had a hard time getting any speed....except the Pz III's....and one kept trying to loose a couple of pins. Otherwise everything went smooth and we have a bunch of visitors who are now in search of info and RC tanks. hoooahh! If anyone gets question on these things from columbia SC, it's probably from todsy.

Thanks for the comments...no, no help with handling the tanks...but then, those I want to handle personally. Believe it or not, I got them all in 4 plastic storage containers, with bars across the lower one to define a base for the upper one being stacked into it. Muuuucho bubble pack! A 1/6 scale Stuart rode in the front seat..in MY NEW TOYOTA SCIAN A. The controllers, mini cam monitor and tools/glue etc in a narrow box on the floor in back. My 1/9 scale M-1A1 Abrams had to wait for a second trip. The Stuart was popular as I have a minicam in the driver's perisciope mount and people got interested in watching the monitor...looks like you are in the driver's seat. Got everything back into the museum with only one breakage of one stowage bracket on my super pershing , but that's fixed. Got a new Pz III and another upgrade kit from MATO IN 6 DAYS!!!! USP the way to go. and another Century 21 Pz IV. I'll now install the short 75mm howitzer and smoke grenade launchers in the Pz III, add Schürtzen and have an ausf. M. Going to buy a small trailer from Lowes and build a cabinet in it to carry my Panzer regiment including the Stuart and Abrams. Back "in the old days", a MSG had a crew to help on the tank, but the new modern Army of quasi retirement works on a wantitdonedoityourself basis.

Fantastic Bill! You should get say a #4 crystal for all the HL German tanks and a #2 crystal for all the HL US tanks, that way you can move them all at once using only two transmitters! Of course after the first few feet they'll get all messed up but that's what happens in battle anyway! Way to go!

RE: 7th Panzer on the move !

I was thinking of doing something similar for 7th Panzer, I have enough crystals, just need to gather the 1.4 gigawatts to power it all !
