help needed to resize plans

hi

ive got a load of plans for card tanks and other vehicles, but im not sure how to enlarge them.

i was thinking of getting them dome on a photo copier but sure what % enlargement to use for the right scales, they all need to end up 1:16 scale.

their origional scales are;

1:72
1:50
1:35

thanks in advance

RE: help needed to resize plans

i used to make cardboard models, so i recently did a quick search on the net for free card models and paper models specifically for tanks and milatary vehicles.

there is alot of companys that still sell card model packs of loads of different models.

here is one for you to try;

RE: help needed to resize plans

once ive got them printed out in 1:16 im going to stick them on thick artists card to use as templates for cutting out of plasticard.

with the amount of companys making these card models, we have a huge supply of templates to use for making all sorts of 1:16 vehicles.

i will try to find my list of companys so everyone can get some to build.

these card tank models are a great way to expand the rage of models we can make and use.

all thats needed is to enlarge the plans to 1:16, stick them onto card and then use them as templates to make plastic models.

its well worth the few dollors/pounds/euros to buy them and then you have plans that can be re-used as many times as needed.

ps. i just thought, what scale % is needed to get 1:25 to 1:16??

thanks

It's a very rough conversion.. but.. simply multiply by 1.56 (156%).

Howdy Guys,

I have used this method to build my Ferdinand / Elephant Tamiya KT conversion.

And most recently my Jagdpanther HL Tiger1 conversion.

I used a Tile print software to do my enlargements.
I scaled the drawing to the overall track length from front to rear or a length without gun.
