Well what theater and year do you want to depict your tank in? Afrika? Italy? Eastern Front? Western Front? What year? Give me that and I can give you exact RLM and or RAL numbers.

RE: tiger camouflage

First, all tigers built between September '43 through I think August '44 had zimmerit magnetic mine coating. Tigers built during and after February '44 had metal road wheels.
A western front Tiger "alive" around the summer of '44 would have been built between December '43 and May of '44. Base coat was RAL7028 with RAL6003 and RAL 8017 in camoflage. What pattern? Whatever you like. Thick patches or wavy lines, there is no right or wrong. Which brand of paint? Again, whatever you like, I'm partial to Floquil Polly Scale Acrylics. First pic is of spz.abt. 101 just after Normandy, 2nd is of pz.abt 508 Tiger in Italy around the same time. |
