Leopard Problem
1 Attachment(s)
Rotating the turret while driving my tank causes the track stoppers at the rear of the turret to catch on the etched, radiator grill covers. [:o] I did not build the tank and did not even realize this was happening until I leaned down to turn it off and saw the ripped/curled sections of metal. They are both ruined, now. Is this a common problem or does it sound like something was assembled incorrectly?
Thanks, Chad |
RE: Leopard Problem
Thats something assembled incorrectly. There should be plenty of clearance between the turret lower portion and the screens. Nothing should extend past the bottom line of the turret. Check online pics of real Leo 2s

RE: Leopard Problem
Thanks, that is what I was thinking. [:o] Looking at the tank from the side, it is clear that the turret is not level and is angled down slightly at the back end; scrapes on the grills. I guess I will open it up tomorrow and see if I can spot the problem. If not, I guess I can go through the instructions step by step to see if I can figure it out.

Your answer may be in the Sagging thread! ;) I had this issue as well (turret stuffed with wiring bulges the two halves). |
RE: Leopard Problem
AhHa! That could be it.

RE: Leopard Problem
Working on your tank and getting it to operate and run great is half the fun.
