In the video on the MatoTous website of the TigerI the tank seems to jerk when it appears that the main gun fires. Is that simulateing gun recoil? Or is it just a glitch from the operator operateing the tank

All Smoke & Sound tanks have that jerk to simulate gun recoil. There is a button on the transmitter you press to make the tank do that. On the other hand, if you fire just the Airsoft gun, then the tank doesn't jerk back.

Does the sound system make the gun firing sound when you just fire the airsoft gun? Wonder if there is a way to disable the jerking effect

No, the sound system does not make the gun firing sound when you fire the airsoft gun. I seem to remember someone mentioning a way to disable the jerking effect, but I don't remember what thread that was in.

Don't push the button to make the tank jerk...I never use it

We are talking about a way to get the main gun firing sound without having the tank jerking back. If you don't push the button, you don't get the firing sound.
