1/6 Stuart + HL eletronics.. possible?
I have a 1/6 Stuart tank, but my charger for it doesn't work anymore and I only got to drive it outside once, but it kinda sucked anyway... I'm curious if the electronics from a Heng Long will work in it, or would the tank be too big and heavy and overload the electronics?
BTW, I am an r/c electronics newbie, so sorry if this is an obvious answer. |

pull up M5stuarttankbn on the internet and you should be abke to get all the help and parts you need. Also now available, correct style single block tracks with guide teeth on the end connectors. Jack Yang is making them and they are really great.

Also contact people on the UKtank club boards about alternate innards for the Stuart. Id be worried about a HL board in something so large. The weight and motor resistance could easily fry the HL board.
If you dont mind the turret not functioning go out and get a cheap 2 channel remote and a couple good reliable ESC units. Hook those up and you could run the tank almost forever on 2x 7.2 v nicad sticks. Its how i run my 1/16 stug. Just remove the power wire lead from one of the ESC connectors to the reciever so you dont fry the reciever. |

Hi Pattoncommander
Can you please point me in the direction of these tracks. I have three of these M5s and that is the one thing that annoys me most as all the other incorrect bits can be sorted easily. Cheers Gorehound |
