Differences between Marui and VS Tiger I
As everyone on here know, my VS Tiger bit the dust again. This has really bummed me out, because the VS and Marui tanks are some of my favorites. Besides the electronic differences, are there any mechanical differences between the VS and Marui Tiger I. Are the gearboxes different, or better, in the Tiger I? I've had both before, but I never checked the internals of the Marui. Unfortunately, I got very acquainted with the inside of the VS. I ran my Marui a lot, and never had any troubles with the gearbox. I ran the VS very little, and stripped out two. I really want another Tiger in this scale, as the VS and Marui detail is outstanding. I'm thinking about buying another Marui. Anyone have any advice or suggestions? I've got three running HL tanks right now, but I want some more 1/24 tanks, but now I'm gunshy.

:DMarui tiger I no sound old type controller BUT has totally different gear box... May be stronger than the VS ..I had a marui version and used it alot and for years with no gear box breakage...my VS has not broken anything also ..BUT i beat on the marui much more and had it for way many more years than the vs ver.

RE: Differences between Marui and VS Tiger I
That definately answered my question, Shen. My Marui seemed to have less trouble, too. Maybe I'll have to get another. Hey ArmChair, is that Type 90 pretty robust? The older version has a 2 speed right? Are the tracks plastic links or rubber?

RE: Differences between Marui and VS Tiger I
Rubber links and I do believe its 2 speed, I''l even trade for a IR VS ( except the Tiger of course ), I just don't have a use for airsoft. I just bought a A6 Leo VS IR and the Marui is almost identical - cept the controllers.
