I think my previous post of this was in the wrong section.
Oke, Amersfoort is my hometown in the Netherlands so that's why my dad and I have in the video written username. Last sunday I made this film of my Tiger I of the 502 Schwere Panzer Abteilung. This is somewhat a preview for the battles to come next year like these.
In the gallery you can find my Tiger in picture format.

Your movie is excellent!

Care to share something about your Tiger in the movie? Is it 1/6 scale? And did the tank really return fire, or just your excellent speical effects?

RE: RC Battlefields

Very realistic movie. Nice job. Only the antenna location gives it away as a Tam tiger. (might want to move it to the correct location to the deck at right side of the turret) A couple of tactical errors in that in such a situation, a tank would never run alone and without infantry support, and the TC would never be buttoned up take a bit away from authenticity. The background, houses, fence etc are very well done and the cautious and realistic movement of the tiger, as well as field and battle damage is very commendable. The view of the tiger through the burning house is exceptionally realistic. Looking forward to seeing more.

Very nice production! Place some static tanks around for added battle wrecks/abandoned.

I was looking for the Tiger to return fire even more! Urban sweeps with MG;)

You will have your own following with mini-movies like that!

Bill, in reading some of the accounts from Wittman and Bake they often found themselves alone and without infantry. I am sure it isn't preferable but there you have it :)

RE: RC Battlefields

This was the first time I made a clip like this with my 1/16 RC Heng Long tank. And as you can see it has bin going very well. Because this was the first time I had overlooked some things but those are already noticed by me. The firing are special effects.
The next movie would be far more impressive than this one.

Part 2 is about the battle at Charkov. I work in the construction and I have made about 20 burn out/damaged apartments/houses in scale 1:16. Some are 5 stores I believe. With all that I need a good battleground to shoot the long movie wich will rage for 15 minutes.
In Part 2 will have 2 Tigers, 1 Panther attacking the village. It will be defended by several antitank guns and a T34.
It will also take lots of time and thinking out the movie/fantasy so it will be somewhere in mid november when my dad and I will make this movie in 1 day. Editing the clip of 15 min. would probably take a week.

Other plans in the future:

-An Allied colone is being completly destroyed by my Tiger.
-Tankbattle at Arnhem.

Stay tuned!

Yes, that will happen in the next videos. We have some defect tanks(Wich we will blow up ofcourse in spectaculor style[8D]) and several other blown off vehicles.

Have read several Witmann accounts also and it does happen, however it's a suicide mission to run a tank in that sort of situation alone. [:@]Wittmann had a couple other Tigers in the immediate area, so outside of a few minutes completely alone in some areas of the Bocage where he told his #2 and 3 tanks in place while he went down the road blasting away, he had some support available.[>:] Russians were especially efficient at taking out lone tanks with the simplest of devices.[&o] The video is extremely well made, but personally I would place a couple Pzgrenadiers on the deck behind the turret, (like the Russians were prone to do), for immediate anti sniper or infantry support. Not taking anything against the spendid video....about the best I have seen thus far and about the most realistic I have seen, but just inserting a couple tactical flaws that could be easy to remedy. The sound effects of the tracks and engine sounds are really impressive and the video was very well planned and the photography is superb. Now, a couple more RC Tigers running in the area would be an absolute killer.:eek:

If I would place a figure on the tank it would be taken more into unrealism. The figure is soooo static... The tank is realistic enough thoug. In the second part, there will be also NO figures. Maybe a few behind the antitank guns but the're really in the background.

Yeah, if I were to want it any "realer" I'd just watch some WWII footage. Nicely done and don't change a thing.

I especially like when at the end where the tank is passing out of frame, the window falls into the fire inside of the house. The tracer rounds bouncing off the front of the tank is also cool!

I thought it looked like a HL, antenna at the back and pistol port the wrong way round.

Great video.

Very nice video. I especially liked the shot from inside the burning house as the Tiger drives up. Great special effects and soundtrack.
Keep up the good work.

The only problem with useing figures will be they are ridgid they don't move. To get the figures to move will be a major problem. But still I'm really looking forward to part 2
