Amphibious Tank

I have a friend that is looking for an amphibious tank. The way they have described to me is that want something that will go from land to water and has the ability to shoot BB's

Is there such a thing out there.

Appreciate any help or direction

Mark

yes there is a futuristic looking thing that is a trackless wheel tank that gose into the water and the wheels flip up and it turns into a boat ?? it also fires BB's :)

When you hit water, at the touch of a button on the Controller, the wheels will fold in to the unit and the propellers will power-up - thereby becoming a Water vehicle
Hariot will even carry your drinks - Up to 4 Cans!
Blazing fast with Precision-Grip All Terrain Wheels and working Headlamps

I bet that if you could successfully water-proof a tank's electronics (which has been done by forum members) and add lots of Styrofoam to the inside of your tank (one with a plastic hull - Hen Long), you could make a tank that would go from land to water without a problem. Adding some sort of tough material to the tracks (maybe every fifth link) to act as paddles, and you would probably get some forward propulsion.

If you're into modeling, convert a Pz III into a Japanese type 2 Ka Mi or type 3 Ka Chi. Been looking at that myself. Would take a lot of sheet styrene and shortening the suspension on the type 2 or lengthening the type 3, but I think it would be worth the effort.

r/cmark42:

I've seen something based on the old Tyco Land Shark chassis (amphib) over on German eBay, think it was billed as a Pz.4. If its the same chassis, it should go amphib just fine. Can't find a listing at the mo, and then again, posting a lisk is verboten anyway.

You know i thought that thing was kind of phony, but I could see it coming in handy by the pool and if it can shoot plus carry some liquid refreshment???

Fires BB's etc... alright for novelty factor, but I wouldnt expect much from it

One thing the video doesnt show is how it goes (mobility-wise) on land and sea with 4 cans onboard...

How cool is that [8D] More a childs toy than a modelers kit but.... for the fun factor you can't knock it.

Ya let us know how well it works.I to think in the water 4 cans of "whatever" would be a heavy load for it to handle.Might be a fun toy. BIGMIG ;););)
