RE: Amphibious Tank
I bet that if you could successfully water-proof a tank's electronics (which has been done by forum members) and add lots of Styrofoam to the inside of your tank (one with a plastic hull - Hen Long), you could make a tank that would go from land to water without a problem. Adding some sort of tough material to the tracks (maybe every fifth link) to act as paddles, and you would probably get some forward propulsion.

If you're into modeling, convert a Pz III into a Japanese type 2 Ka Mi or type 3 Ka Chi. Been looking at that myself. Would take a lot of sheet styrene and shortening the suspension on the type 2 or lengthening the type 3, but I think it would be worth the effort.

r/cmark42:
I've seen something based on the old Tyco Land Shark chassis (amphib) over on German eBay, think it was billed as a Pz.4. If its the same chassis, it should go amphib just fine. Can't find a listing at the mo, and then again, posting a lisk is verboten anyway. |
RE: Amphibious Tank

RE: Amphibious Tank
You know i thought that thing was kind of phony, but I could see it coming in handy by the pool and if it can shoot plus carry some liquid refreshment???

RE: Amphibious Tank
Ya let us know how well it works.I to think in the water 4 cans of "whatever" would be a heavy load for it to handle.Might be a fun toy. BIGMIG ;););)
