Any way to take tank parts to consturct a mattracks style track for a savage. [link=http://www.mattracks.com/]Like this.[/link] I know they make a crappy radio shack version. I know nothing about tanks, and was just wondering if something like this could be made that would be durable. Not planning on jumping with them just want to play in the snow, I was thinking of putting skis on the front too.

actually the RS one isnt bad
i have been driving it all week and have not been disappointed. My wife saw the tracks on it and surprised me with it. She does this from time to time

Well...

Much as I hate to say it... you could craft a set from a dismantled HL. Try the M26 or M41... need a spare sprocket? Mato has those too. I'm sure Murphy would sell ya a scragged lower chassis alone.

Need to do it on a larger scale, talk to Outcast, he thought of doing it with Blizzard parts.

All it takes is a bit of imagination.

need to find some good upclose shots of the mattracks. need to see the internal frame. then find out how it connects to the wheels (front and rear, they will be different). then you could make a metal frame, runs some spacers and screws in between, make some road wheels and ski's for the tracks and like WhiteWolf said, use a bulldog sprocket as the drive. I say bulldog cause they drive from the inside and a pershing drives from the outside and would catch on more stuff.
