? for scratch builders

Anyone know of a "one stop shop" sorta place for brass stock, wire mesh. etc. The kinda stuff you need for tank projects? This is for 1/6 scale. I would like to be able to order a bunch of stuff at once and maybe save on shipping.

try Micro-Mark.com
800 225-1066

They are set up for the hobby market and have about anything you'd want. Stuff like screen mash etc you can get at any hardware. I like the plastic mesh for screen windows. Easy to work with, cheap and stick well with model glue.

Micro mark is nice for the special tools. Hobby People is close by, but only carries a small selection of brass stock. Depot, Lowes, Osh, etc, really dont have the hobbiest level stock Im looking for. Window screen is good for the smaller mesh but I need something larger for grill covers on my Tiger. I would like to find brass as everything is soldered together so far.

you can order PE brass grill covers for any period german tank. Just look at Spearhead or armourpax. they sell tons of accessories and may have the bits you want in stock.

[link=http://www.colespowermodels.com/] Coles' Power Models[/link]

Coles has many types of materials and supplies for model engineering. Not inexpensive. They emphasize live steam
builders but much of what they sell is useful in other non steam-related hobbies.

I've never really found a 'one stop shop'. Always, someone has something better or what I like better somewhere else.
