Maybe its' just the saturation. That orange is dunkelgelb (dark yellow) and the camo was used in Russian campaign.

Looks like [link=http://www.tankzone.co.uk/cart/hl_inf_t1l.htm]Tankzone's "late" HL Tiger[/link], all painted up with some extras, yet retains the HL short barrel (all for just $600US+ delivered...)

I guess it's the same one, but I saw it at a german website, and i think it is much cheaper than Tankzone's price...

Pictures have an 'eye' of their own when it comes to color rendition. Color balance in cameras can be different than our eyes.

Another point known to artistic model painters is scale affect color as well, i.e. when scale of the subject changes, the color shading needs to change to give the correct 'scaling' of color.

Perhaps an artist with color rendering experience can explain better.;)

It would pass for the ukraine 1944 or northern Italy spring 1945, as it is has later type wheels. I would agree there seems to be alot of the dunklegelb base coat showing and the brown and green seems to be rationed.but alot of these schemes were done by crews in the field with paste thinned with whatever came to hand, so variation in pattern and colour were inevitable.
If you want to see a completely artlessly applied paint scheme on a tiger I, look on the Kubinka museum website. http://www.tankmuseum.ru/p6.html .Ray charles could have done better!
