Help needed for Panzer III part
Hello fellow tankers. As you may have gussed from the groveling start of this thread I am after something and it's the cupola ( with both flaps for the hatch ) from a Heng Long Panzer III or IV. I managed to mangle mine in a botched attempt to make the hatch a single piece unit ( Will not try that again ). So as one will you drill you sand then you adapt then redrill sand some more, then think oops thats well and truley done it. Thats when I went to plan B which is ask round the forum if anyone has one in there spares bin left over from a sucessfull conversion or upgrade that they are willing to sell me. For information I am in the UK if you can help please PM me and we can sort out something. All the best for now

What a coincidence, I'm looking for a P3 cupola as well. Mine got crushed. So after anyone helps tankman out maybe they could me as well.

I had the same go-round with my Pz III ausf N, which has a one piece hatch. Don't know what you were sanding, but all that needs to be done is super glue the 2 halves together, fill in the crease with modelling putty and file it down smooth and add a simple U handle. . All that is left then, is to eliminate one hinge and add the hardware and leather head protector for the underside of the hatch lid. I thought I had spares, but looking through by parts box, it apears I used them. Mato sells parts, but if all you need is the hatch lid. all you have to do is cut a plastic disc for the cupola and fashion a hinge. Hope this helps.

I emailed Mato and they said they do not carry them. Maybe I'll have to buy a complete tank to....oh wait, that won't work:)

If you could get one where the shipping isn't $50 then I might, otherwise it would be just to much as I really just need a cupola.

That's true. I've tried emailing a couple but didn't get an answer, but I'm sure some of the others might have one.

lucky you, i have a complet new panzer III upper hu and turrent,,, email me which part you want I will sort out somnething for you.
