Tamiya electronics & sound
I was wondering if anyone knew of a product, service or source to modify the sounds in the Tamiya electronics? I have about 6 new in the box DMD-x/MF-x/communications cable kits and will be using some power something other then German or American gas enfines. (need non-turbo deisel noises and options for incoming/outgoing gun fire). I am aware of sound sources on the internet but do not know if there are programmers tools, web site info, EPROMs, or other swap out components that can be used with tamiya. If this issue has been covered before i apologize in advance.
PS, I am low on the computing, electronics knowledge scale, but i have my hammer and chisel available for work. |
RE: Tamiya electronics & sound
Lets make things simple hear from what I can translate you have 6 sets of DMD and MF units but want to change the sound to a non turbo diesel "and will be using some power something" haven't got a clue what you mean you also want incoming and out going gun fire this part sounds like you want some background battle sound's? what engine sound are you after? Abrams M1, Challenger T72 or something else you could use a Thomas Benadini sound system

RE: Tamiya electronics & sound
I think what he's after is some advice on /if it can be done to change tamiya's sound and re-programme the sound chip to play sounds other than the std Tamiya[)]
your best bet would be Darkith or his new system failing that would be Elmod upgrade tes a benadini would work too $$$$[:@][&:] Regards Rob |
RE: Tamiya electronics & sound
Sorry if i was too verbose. here are the facts and wants
1. I have several sets of tamiya dmd/mf-x sets. I will be using these sets in future tanks so i am looking for a method of modifying the noises the tamiya system makes. 2. I want to overide, replace, or change the existing sounds in the mf-x to other sounds such as non-diesel engine noises ala T34, IS-2 , etc or maybe other tanks in the future. 3. I was also interested in, if these sounds can be changed, a revised outgoing main gun sound and a diffferent set of final destruction noises. 4. I am seeking products or technology sources that will allow me to do number 2 & number 3. It does not look like Darkith or El-mod will interface with the tamya electronics, or perhaps i just have not seen or heard about it. The last statement was to identify that i am a child in electronics knowledge, so the simplest solutions such as a swap out component or a reasonably priced programming tool to accomplish those goals is what i am seeking. More clear or more muddy? |

More clear or more muddy? Kclank Beautiful City and area you live in, one of my favorite, and have been to a few! It sounds like you need to sell those bits on ebay and buy the EL MOD system! http://www.rctankwars.com/Pdf/blaster2_english.pdf http://www.rctankwars.com/Pdf/Bigboo...op_english.pdf The Blitz |
