Matorro King Tiger Access Problem
My Matorro KT came with a broken barrel. Although a replacement was quickly sent, there was no indication as to how to get inside the tank to replace the plastic sleeve around the metal barrel. Can anyone share how to get the upper and lower hulls apart so I can get inside. There are no screws visible that I can find.......but then I'm going blind dealing with all this small tank detail stuff and probably missed them. Thanks, Panzerpaul

The tracks are hiding the screws on the bottom of the top hull. Remove the tracks first, and you'll find the screws in-between the roadwheels.

It's not that hard. You may want to upgrade your airsoft unit while you have the tank apart

RE: Matorro King Tiger Access Problem
You are lucky my KT came with fried Electronics. Would not run out of the box so I did replace it with a HL board. The Matorro KT was the worst tank I have ever bought.
If you spend $200 on a tank get an old Tamiya KT and put HL Electronics in it around the same price but you will have a much better tank then the Matorro King Tiger. Also Panzerpaul if your KT was like mine the Tracks may have one extra link in them so check that if so remove it. It will run a lot better with much less slop causing turning problems. Good luck with it with a lot of work you can have a good tank but it would be better just to have bought the Tamiya King Tiger in the long run. |

To Thomas John
Hi John Do you still fabricate those high velocity guns that I once bought from you for my Tiger 1. I would like to have one for my Matorro King Tiger :-) cheers Steen |
RE: Matorro King Tiger Access Problem
I do. One thing with the King Tiger is that the barrel is quite long. The ideal length of an inner barrel is about 150mm. Any longer you will need the small hole drilled into the inner barrel. I have one in my King tiger and it works great although it is not optimal given that the inner barrel is well over 300 in length. Since I sold you your gun I've discovered a few more things which make the guns even better. You will notice a marked improvement with the new one. You will however have to drill out your KT barrel somewhat to fit the new inner sleeve. Its a real pain taking out the stock aluminium one but it does come out.

Sounds good :D
Please email me at [email protected] the pricing for the Matorro barrel exchange. I remember that the unit for my Tiger 1 was with already fitted to a Tiger 1 barrel :-) Do you do this with the King Tiger also, so that I only have to do a "simpel" swap cheers Steen |
RE: Matorro King Tiger Access Problem
I used to do that as I could not guarantee the inner barrel from slipping out of the airsoft units breach. I now have a simple technique the secures the inner barrel to the airsoft unit. Plus you could buy extra Tiger barrels. Not to sure if you can get extra KT barrels. So this time you'd have to do a little work to fit it in. You can test it before you do that (just make sure that you get the power wire corret. Had someone do that and got the wires mixed up. The airsoft unit was destroyed. I'll e-mail you the price.
