Ordered a PZ3...details inside>
Hello everyone, I ordered a Panzer 3 from Mato on Saturday, i'm really excited & went with this one... http://www.matotoys.com/canada/produ...roducts_id=194
I opted to get full metal from the "get go," much more cost efficient this way PLUS I purchased a Canon Powershot A590IS Digital Camera today (right now!) so I can post new pictures & vids too!(the good thing about this CANON is that you CAN ZOOM in & out when filming vids! I can't wait to post vids and take some pictures, by the way guys...HOW much do you guys think a THIS particular PZ3 will weigh in contrast to a stock one>? I WILL KEEP YOU GUYS UPDATED... MAILEDFIST NEW INVENTORY: TIGER 1, STURMTIGER, & PZ3 Take care fellow modelers[8D] |
RE: Ordered a PZ3...details inside>
I think it'll be about 2.5lbs more then the regular tank.
I keep chasing you around and asking about how those gearboxes you made held up. How are they doing? Any changes to the design since then? |
RE: Ordered a PZ3...details inside>
Congratulations on both the tank and Cannon purchase, your going to love the Cannon and the tank, I have that model from Cannon and an older model (there first one out) and used it for the close up pics on my Tamiya King Tiger build. Video works great also but have not upload anything to this site, will have to try that someday.
Post your build when you start. Gary |

Hi Swathdiver:D,
I know its been a long time (like last year!) but those gearboxes broke dowm at the 5th reduction (because of weak pins) shortly after and it was a ROYAL pita when i fixed them. They are super strong now though and i have def. put them to the test since. I love my tiger 1 so much out of them all because of the time, effort, & love put into it but i also have transitioned away from the mechanics aspect of tanking and simply focused on painting. I have spent hoours of research on airbrushing, systems, weathering, and thats where i am in the hobby right now. So much, that once i have my new CAMERA i will dedicate a entire thread/spread to my complete "system 10, self-made booth," brush, paints, weathering, etc. I will admit aside from driving them through the garden, airbrushing is the MOST rewarding aspect for me now. -take care man [8D] |

I know what you mean! Painting and detailing has been more rewarding to me now then in the past.
