Ouch! Looks bad. What kind of metal is it made of?

Good luck with the repairs.

I'd already replaced the std suspension arms with metal ones, but now the actual plastic mounting point on the hull has snapped. The metal mounts replace all the plastic mounting points with a much stronger metal rail.

If you aren't breaking them, you're not having fun!

Looks like a good excuse to showcase some mine damage. Put some holes in the wheel, tear up the fenders and blacken everything with soot! :D

Do you have any extra inner fat wheels? You could flip the inner one around and make a hub out of the outter wheel too. See my build and Woz's.

got that right Swathy!
I thought I'd use this mishap as an excuse to not only strengthen the chassis but to do a few other mods (flip circuit board/ bigger heatsink/ cooling fan).
Every cloud has a silver lining and all that!

Guess that's right swathy :D
Ah, exellent idea with the mine damage. Might be something worth trying.. if I brake mine that is hehe.

Fynsdad, sounds nice that you replace the plastic with metal ones. You think the metal ones will break easy?
Speaking of metal upgrades, I have a huge order with parts comming this week, among other things I have ordered same metal mounting as you posted the picture on and metal suspension arms to. Do you have to drill bigger holes or something in the chassi to make it fit? Just checking so I know when my time comes.

And by the way, about flipping the board and putting heatsink/cooling fan.. is there some guide how to install it or something? I thik I should get it asap, I drive my one quite hard :) Sorry for off-topic, but maybe if someone knows, send me a PM. Thank's alot!

Changing the suspension arms means the weak spot is then the spigots/screw-mounts for the arms, some problems are introduced during mods - such as overtightening a screw, which leads to cracked mount = imminent failure.

I bought a few secondhand tanks a week ago, and it suprises me how much he had battle-damage his had (now repaired) compared to my tanks, and I've had mine longer!! (guess I just look after my stuff, respect it and it will last :D)

That loks nasty, but it looks like your intended mods will sort it.
