Thanks for the interesting read. That would have been one very tight turret for the gunner & commander to work in.

So when is Heng Long coming out with theirs? :D

With that size of a gun, I doubt there was any room left for the loader, gunner and commander!

Also, that huge gap over the tracks would have worked as a shell trap when fired upon.

Looks like a major "bitsa", I mean the Entwicklung series of tanks were supposed to be "bitsas" (bitsa this, bitsa that) in an attempt to standardise parts production, make them modular so maximum amount of parts was interchangeable between different types of tanks.

Looking at it, its like a Panther with a Sheridan or Russian inspired (although not) turret, KT tracks... honestly I think its ugly as sin lol

I was thinking the same thing. The Germans fielded a bewildering array of different armored vehicle types, and supporting all those types with non-interchangeable parts created a huge logistics tail and enormous supply difficulties in the vast expanses of Russia and elswhere, it's part of what led to Germany's downfall. The Soviets on the other hand knew a winner when they saw it in the T-34, and concentrated much of their production efforts on it.

That's an E-79 from the game 'Panzer Front'. It is fictional and created specifically for that game but it's since appeared on all sorts of sites that claim it was an original 'E' series design.

There are models available, along with the 'Aureole', another design from the game; a jet-powered assault gun!

I'm guessing they would have had some side skirts to offer extra protection to the sides.

the turret is very similar to a walker bull dogs turret in design .

Extremely interesting articles and photos. Thanks for sharing. Are there any publications that cover these, without copying each page? We had our own experience with useless super-heavies, but Hitler was obsessed with them.

That's quite a monster! The most effective way to get that thing would be by Naval ships if you could lure it within range and airpower. I can imagine a flight of bombers or fighters dropping so many bombs on and around it that its metal would fracture and disable its running gear. Wonder how many gallons to mile it was projected to consume? [:-]

Cool website. I like the bit about the Russian super-tank, deployed in '41 to defend Moscow, which blew up when the rear turret accidently fired into the center turret! Is that actually true?
