NEW BUILD VOTE
 

It is time for my second Tank of the year (NEW BUILD, thats my budget). Like the Firefly, I will put it to a vote.

(A) JUMBO M4A3E2

(B) Desert Rat Sherman 2 (M4A1) at El Alemein

Do the Desert Rat - you already have waaaaay too many green tanks.

Besides our club in in the desert motif, remember that's why both of out T1's are DAK Tigers

C'mon man, spice it up a little would ya. Make you a deal, you build something Axis, (a PzIII perhaps) and I'll build a Sherman. HHHmmm, could happen! (LOL)

That Jumbo sounds cool and looks odd in a good way. One of a kind among rc-tanks if you make it. Looks like a real challange to build it, but with you'r skill.. no problemo! :D

I say Jumbo. ;) Mike over at S.E.A.D. did one a while back and it was a great looking tank. I've seen your work and I'm sure you can make one as good or better. Whichever you choose, I'm looking forward to seeing the results. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

The early Sherman looks good...not many of those around and historically more predominance. Dana at HEAT has been using a Jumbo for some time...looks neat and it's a bit beat up now but runs good. What track & suspension are you going to build for it? Hope you use VVSS.

M4A1 Sherman. You gonna scratch build VVSS bogies and tracks? Or build them with HVSS and wait till someone comes out with it and retrofit later?

I personally like the 8th Army one. So that's my vote, but the Jumbo looks cool. So no that's my vote, but the 8th would be different. So OK that's my vote. Well can't you put both together it would make the choice easier. Now for sure I guess the 8th is for me, but No Go for the 8th

I think the Jumbo would be more unique of a build. But both are great projects.

I like the desert rat, I think we have discussed the pros/cons of the sherman before. It was easy to produce, reliable, fast, could use more bridges than the heavier german tanks, lower maintenance, I just wish they had licensed the british 17 pdr instead of going with the 76.
