Heng Long Suspension Arms
 

Hi, need some help with upgrading to metal suspension arms on my Heng Long Tiger, all the posts I see show the road wheel spindle/axle being a press fit into the suspension arm, on my Tiger the road wheel spindle/axle is a long M3/M4 self tapping bolt (seems mine is a newer/later version) Does anyone know if there is a different suspension arm kit for this type of spindle or am I best tapping the new arms out and finding a suitable bolt to use as a spindle ? I don't think the new tanks need metal arms. You probably have metal mounts with an internal hull brace that eliminates the flexing we experience with plastic mounts.

I have the same wheels and the new kind of bolts as you mention. I have installet the metal suspension arms and filled the boltholes with glue. Then I drilled a suitable hole in them and use the self tapping bolts. It works fine!
