RE: ID Flag

I just bought one from here, soaked it in diluted wood glue (white) and molded it to the tank's storage box. When it dried it looked great

DUDES ! I grabbed an inappropriate german flag off the internet ; printed it on paper to correct size ; soaked it in diluted wood glue ( PVA) and layed it on my tank. The result is a great immitation.

OH !Should mention dont let your poor old mother walk into your printer room while your trying to get the printed size right for the inappropriate NAZI flag. I had them all over the bed and floor, just every where. It looked like a nazi party convention. She walked in ; got a funny look on her face and walked out again without a word. Damn I freaked a little , Thought I should go and try to explain, but hey , mothers love you no matter how off centre you are !!!!!!!!!! LOL not one word about it in 2 years. Ya gotta love your mum.

Thanks for the input. I printed a flag off the internet, coated it in wood glue and glued it to alum foil. Let me know what you think.
Thanks

That looks great. Great idea about the tin foil. I will have to try that technique

Thanks, the tin foil made it easier to shape and form more to the body.

That flag looks great! Could you tell me how diluted the glue is? Also, how long does it soak? I'd like to make one for my PZ III so lplease et me know some details of how you do it. Thanks a lot!

RE: ID Flag

After I printed the flag and let the ink dry Ispread my sons clear elmers non-toxic glue over it with my finger. Once it dries the shine goes away. I then glued with the same glue to a piece of tin foil slightly smaller then the flag. Once it was dry (which is pretty quick with that glue) I just shaped it over the turret and glued strings for the rope.</p>

RE: ID Flag

By the way, I used the glue staright from the bottle with no diluting. It was an experiment that worked out pretty good.
