I like to add some weights to my tank anything good to use and can you add some pic on how you added themand how they look. Thanks in advance



And any 1 know how heavy it should be to counter the gearbox i still have the stock and i might upgrade them and can you give me the weightto counterthe metal gearbox

I have used Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby race car weights. I found them at my local hobby shop, but check them out here: http://www.pinewoodpro.com/weight-sets.htm

I used 2 strips of twelve (.25 oz weights (6 oz total weight) and stuck then inside on the hull floor; and against the walls; left & right sides; so they were under the DMD Units and the battery (but not under the speaker box).

Eli,
If you want extra weight, you could always go with the metal upgrade kits for the gears, tracks and wheels. That will give plenty of extra heft to the tank.

Yeah but i need something to counter them in the front so when its climbing it wont be always pointed up

I was thinking about using some bird shot in small 1/2-oz baggies and adding them incrementally. I was going to glue the baggies to the bottom just behind the front glacis. I haven't done it yet, though.

As far as how much, do a search for swathdiver's M41 build. I think that he recommended 8 oz for stock plastic everything and 16-oz of weight for metal everything.

Depending on how much space you have, automotive wheel weights come adhesive backed as well as the more well-known clip on style, so the adhesive backed stuff would work good I'd imagine. All I've seen come in fairly small squares, under 1". You could easily trim to fit as needed.

Any place that balances tires should sell them to you, and I'd expect them to be very cheap.

Why do you want to add extra weight to the front because the rear is sagging when you go up a hill? So the front will sag too. Why not fix the rear so it doesn't sag. It's not like the front is increasing in height. Adding weight just stresses the drivetrain more, especially if you have metal tracks/etc.

Let me rephrase it. When my tank tries to go up a hill or a bridge when the grade is to steep the front end wont stay to the ground it lift up and it cant grip and its stuck

go to a tire shop and see if you can get some of the (used) lead weights they attach to rims to balance tires

Same problem here. I'm working on my nephews Bulldog now trying to fix the same problem. Even in slightly tall grass it looks like it's popping a wheelie when it's driving.

I like the wheel weight idea - gonna give that a try
