Tamiya Electronics question

I have some questions about Tamiya electronics in 1/16 RC tanks: King Tiger (T-03+MF-01) and Leopard II (T-07)
1. what is the max supply voltage for Tamiya electronics . I know that recomended voltage is 7.2V but is it possible /and safe !/ to use higher - for example - 7.4V, 8,4V etc?
2. Is higher supply voltage cause louder sound and higher speed of Tamiya tank models? or not?
3. is it possible tu use another /bigger/ speakers for Tamiya sound modules - what impedanace and power is required ?

RE: Tamiya Electronics question

Use only the recommended voltage batteries. 7.4 v is passable, but no more.
More voltage will not give higher speeds and louder sound, and might damage the elecronics, which are expensive to replace.Normally, especially on the Tigers, you would want to slow them down a little using a gear down on the transmissions.
You can use a different speaker, as long as the impedence is 4 ohm. The stock speaker is 5w.

RE: Tamiya Electronics question

I have 1/16 Tamiya King Tiger (T-03+MF-01) - is it possible to reduce max tank speed? - small change of stick position in sender and the tank begun to move very rapidly. I have another tank with Elmod Electronics and the speed control is more fluent. I heard that it is possible to change original Tamiya gearbox, but maybe there is another way to solve this problem? Maybe in electronics? in sender? or using choking coil connected in series with driving motor to reduce current?
Is the same problem with tank speed in Tamiya Leopard 2A6?
